WELCOME TO THE BOATHOUSE

Open since June 2020, we’re here to serve you freshly ground Dark Woods coffee, delicious locally sourced and homemade food, fantastic sweet treats and your favourite tipples in the idyllic setting of Newmillerdam Country Park.

As a team we pride ourselves on providing our amazing guests with the best possible customer service. Nothing is too much trouble, and we are proud that over the years we have built up wonderful friendships with our lovely regulars. If you haven't visited us yet, we can't wait to welcome you!

Please note we do not take table bookings - Just turn up at your leisure!

POOCHES WELCOME!

We are a very dog friendly cafe - your furry friends are welcome both inside & outside at the Boathouse.
We also have a range of homemade doggy treats & puppaccinos, so you can treat yourself as well as your pooch.

The Boathouse is available for intimate evening wedding ceremonies and receptions of up to 28 guests

We work closely with a selection of incredible suppliers who can offer added extras to help make your day extra special. From celebration cakes and flowers to live music and photobooths, speak to us about your requirements and let us put you in touch with the pros

Come and join us for a wonderfully festive cosy clay session. Come and create your own Christmas decorations and ornaments, or gifts for others. Enjoy all of the festive feels with the beautiful setting and festive cheer with a range of beautiful food and drink on offer and enjoy two hours of relaxing next to the water.

FAQS

Is the building wheelchair accessible?

Our outdoor patio is wheelchair accessible. Unfortunately there are steps to get to the indoor dining room and outdoor terrace. Our customer toilet also has a small step up to it, ramp available on request. The bathroom is quite small so would not fit a wheelchair inside.

Do you take table bookings?

We don't, but there will only ever be a short wait for a table if we can't get you seated straight away!

Where can I park?

Guests are welcome to park in the public car park at the entrance to the dam, then it’s just a short walk down the path to the cafe.

Can I hire out the Boathouse?

Absolutely! The Boathouse is available for private hire 7 days a week, from 5-9pm. Full day for Wedding CeremoniesWe can accomodate up to 28 guests. Email events@boathousenewmillerdam.co.uk for more info.

Are you open on bank holidays?

Yes we are!

Do you sell gift vouchers?

Yes we do - You can collect them from the cafe. Vouchers are made to order so please call ahead and let us know how much you would like and we'll ensure we have them ready for you!

Do you have vegan and gluten free options?

Yes we do! We always try to have at least one GF/VE cake on the counter.

Any of our sandwiches can be made into a GF salad.

We have oat and soya milk plus dairy free ice cream.

Please inform your server of any allergies or intolerances upon ordering. Due to our small kitchen, we cannot guarantee zero cross contamination when preparing orders.
